Wacky Global Warming News: Glaciergate

Glaciergate, that’s what it’s being called now. Glaciergate is the continuing story about how members of the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) lied when they published their 2007 Nobel Peace Prize winning report. A report which claimed, among other things, that the Himalayan Glaciers would disappear by 2035 due to global warming. Why would they lie? What could they gain? Well, as I said in my first Himalayan Glaciers entry it’s about money.
Glaciergate, and Global Warming in general, is really about money and power. For politicians seeking power Global Warming is a convenient fraud on which to base restrictions upon individual behavior and taxes on every facet of life. They’re already doing it in Europe and trying to do it in the United States. For “scientists” Global Warming is still about money. And how do scientists who don’t make a product get money?
